KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 — Developments on the implementation of the Multi-Lane Fast Flow (MLFF) toll collection system, the establishment of the Malaysian Transport Safety Board (MTSB) and efforts to maintain national security are among the matters scheduled for discussion at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.
According to the Order Paper on the Parliament’s official website, Zahir Hassan (PH-Wangsa Maju), during the oral question session, will ask the works minister to state the evaluation parameters for the pilot test of the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology as well as updates on the use of the JustGo application at tolled highways.
He also wishes to know the metric standards used to assess time reliability in the implementation of the MLFF system.
In the same session, Shaharizukirnain Abd Kadir (PN-Setiu) will ask the transport minister about constraints delaying the establishment of the MTSB, which was proposed almost 11 years ago as part of efforts to strengthen safety in the transport sector.
Meanwhile, Suhaizan Kaiat (PH-Pulai) wants the home minister to state the government's strategy to ensure national security, particularly in preventing public unrest such as those seen in Indonesia and Nepal stemming from cost-of-living pressures, dissatisfaction with government policies, and social and political issues.
Also listed is a question from Datuk Dr Alias Razak (PN-Kuala Nerus) to the health minister on plans to expand healthy food aid to children aged three and below, given that implementation costs are lower compared with long-term treatment costs arising from malnutrition and stunting.
After the question-and-answer session, the Dewan Rakyat sitting will continue with the committee-level debate on the Supply Bill (Budget) 2026.
The Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament sits for 35 days until December 4.
