SHAH ALAM, Nov 11 — The victim of a shooting incident at a petrol station in the Bukit Tinggi area of Klang on Friday (November 7) has been identified as a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).
Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed that the 34-year-old local also had several prior criminal records.
The investigations are focusing on various angles, taking into account the victim’s background, with seven statements recorded so far from the victim’s wife, family members, and witnesses.
“The investigation is still ongoing. The post-mortem has been completed, and the cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. The body has been released to the family for burial,” he said.
Shazeli was speaking at a press conference to highlight the achievements of the Selangor Commercial Crime Investigation Department and the Selangor Internal Security and Public Order Department today.
In the 11pm incident, a suspect reportedly fired several shots at the front of a car, fatally striking the victim, who was unemployed, while seated inside.
