SHAH ALAM, Oct 24 — The Social Security Organisation (Socso) is offering a discount of up to 80 per cent on Late Contribution Payment Charges (FCLB) in conjunction with the i Lindung U Mega Festival, taking place at the grounds of Shah Alam Stadium until this Sunday (October 26).
Its chief executive Datuk Seri Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed said the initiative aims to assist employers in settling outstanding contributions while encouraging them to resume compliance with their employees’ social security obligations.
“We are also providing a service where employers who have received letters or enforcement notices regarding compound payments or FCLB can attend this festival.
“We are giving them space and opportunity, including encouraging compliance with employee social security responsibilities, although this is still subject to the stipulated conditions,” he told the press after a walkabout session at the festival today.
Commenting on the event, Azman said the i Lindung U Mega Festival will also be held in Penang this December.
“InsyaAllah (God willing), we plan to visit other states as well, and I have been informed that the next one is targeted for Penang, possibly in November or December,” he said.
Meanwhile, Azman said that Socso has also rebranded its social security protection scheme as i Lindung u, as a strategic step to strengthen the organisation’s role in providing comprehensive protection for the people.

“In fact, we have four Acts under this scheme, but when we mention them, the public may not fully understand. So, through the i Lindung u branding, it becomes fresher, more inclusive, memorable, and impactful in delivering the message of social protection widely and effectively.
“Under this rebranding, Act 4 is known as Protecting Workers, Act 800 as Protecting Careers, Act 789 as Self-Protection, and Act 838 as Protecting Love (Lindung Kasih),” he said.
The festival targets a turnout of 70,000 visitors, featuring various exciting activities from 10am to 10pm.
Azman encouraged the public to enliven the festival and seize the chance to win attractive prizes worth a total of RM20,000, including tablets and bicycles.
“We invite everyone, especially Klang Valley residents, to attend and take part in the many family-friendly activities provided, including casual chat sessions with humanitarian activist and former journalist Zainal Rashid Ahmad, health sharing sessions, and free cancer screenings,” he said.
Among the attractions at the i Lindung U Mega Festival are over 60 stalls selling food, drinks, and community products, as well as Socso contribution checking counters and protection scheme registration booths for visitors’ convenience.
The public will also have the chance to enjoy performances by popular artists such as Rabbani, Drama Band, and Sofazr, as well as win attractive prizes worth over RM20,000, including tablets and bicycles.
A significant highlight of the festival is the Lindung Kerjaya MYFutureJobs Career Carnival, offering nearly 1,000 job opportunities with salaries of up to RM10,000 from leading companies, including DRB-Hicom Auto Solutions, Watsons and Top Glove Corporation Berhad.
