KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 — The police have arrested a 27-year-old foreigner on suspicion of murdering a homeless man in Bangsar this morning.
Brickfields police chief ACP Hoo Chang Hook said the suspect was detained at 5pm today near the UOA Bangsar Tower and will be remanded at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
"Initial investigations confirmed that the suspect had known the victim for the past month and lived under the flyover on Jalan Bangsar.
"There was a misunderstanding between the suspect and the victim last night, which led to the victim's death after he was pushed into a drain at the back of a shop building that was shut down,” he said in a statement today.
Hoo added that the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
