JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 27 — A weak earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck off the waters of Batu Pahat at 9.04am today, said the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
The epicentre was at 1.7°N, 103.1°E, 25 kilometres southeast of Batu Pahat, at a depth of 10 kilometres.
“Tremors may have been felt in the Batu Pahat area, and MetMalaysia will continue to monitor the situation,” it said in a Facebook post.
