BEIJING, Sept 25 — China on Thursday called on the United States to take positive actions, cancel relevant unreasonable tariffs, and create conditions for expanding bilateral trade, reported Xinhua.
He Yadong, a spokesperson for the Commerce Ministry, made the remarks at a press briefing in response to questions regarding potential Chinese purchases of US soybeans and Boeing aircraft.
The biggest obstacle currently affecting normal China-US economic and trade cooperation lies in US unilateral restrictive measures, He said.
He emphasised that the essence of the bilateral economic and trade relationship is mutual benefit and win-win, and that the two countries share broad common interests and vast space for cooperation.
It is hoped that the US will work in the same direction with China to create favourable conditions for the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-US economic and trade relations, said the spokesperson.
