SHAH ALAM, Sept 16 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has urged the people to set aside what divides them to build a more empowered, fair, and prosperous Malaysia for generations to come.
He said the contributions of past leaders have made Malaysia into the country it is today.
“Today, we celebrate Malaysia Day, a historic moment on September 16, 1963, when Sabah, Sarawak and Malaya united to form a sovereign nation called Malaysia.
“Our journey hasn’t been easy, but the bravery of past leaders, the people’s unity, and our determination to be independent has made Malaysia a land that is free, prosperous, and full of hope,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post today.
