KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 — Those who report leaky pipes to Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd by December 31 stand a chance to receive a free RM5 Touch ‘n Go e-wallet voucher, an Air Selangor head said today.

Brand management and corporate communications head Muhamad Asyraf Ahmad Suhaibi said reports must be made on the Air Selangor 2.0 app.

“One RM5 voucher will be given per reward, and they can be redeemed on the Touch ‘n Go e-wallet app. This reporting campaign is an Air Selangor initiative to reduce non-revenue water (NRW) and wastage.

“Other than leaky pipes, consumers can report burst pipes or illegal water connectors,” he told Media Selangor here today at the Keretapi Sarong event.

The state water agency was among exhibitors at the event, and it offered 62 types of drinks for free to participants.

In February, Air Selangor CEO Adam Saffian Ghazali said the agency is working to reduce its NRW to 25 per cent by 2030.

Throughout 2024, the Air Selangor achieved an NRW rate of 27 per cent, which is equivalent to savings of 298.36 million litres of water per day, thereby optimising operational costs and ensuring resource efficiency.
