SHAH ALAM, July 23 — Selangor entrepreneurs should make the most of business opportunities as the state’s economy rapidly recovers, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said Selangor, as a main contributor to the national gross domestic product, presents a comprehensive impact in terms of business opportunities and new jobs.
“We are in the process of a rapid recovery transition. Last year, we recorded the highest investment value in history. This should comprehensively impact the people.
“I think entrepreneurs must immediately combine their abilities so they don’t remain petty traders. We want these entrepreneurs to be bigger contributors to existing sectors,” Amirudin said.
He was speaking at the Selangor State Development Corporation’s (PKNS) BizMatch Mega 2025 entrepreneurs’ gathering at Dewan Raja Muda Musa in Seksyen 7 here today. Also present were state executive councillor for youth, sports and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi and PKNS group chief executive officer Dato’ Mahmud Abbas.
At the event, Amirudin launched the Selangor Entrepreneurs Expo, which will be held November 28 to 30.
He said PKNS has over 10,000 entrepreneurial alumni who received assistance under various development and empowerment programmes, funding, guidance, and marketing opportunities.
Amirudin also lauded PKNS’ resilience in implementing entrepreneurship initiatives.
