SHAH ALAM, May 5 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirmed his deputy Rafizi Ramli was present at the party’s Central Leadership Council meeting yesterday, amid rumours over the latter’s lengthy leave of absence.
“He (Rafizi) attended yesterday. We discussed the results.
“It was good, thank God,” he told reporters after Temu Anwar — a meet-and-greet with private university students — at Management and Science University here today.
His comments came in the wake of speculations over Rafizi’s political future, following reports Rafizi has been on leave from his ministerial duties.
On April 30, a Cabinet member told reporters that Rafizi had taken time off, fuelling rumours he may be stepping down from his role as economy minister.
Yesterday, Keadilan secretary-general Fuziah Salleh said the party’s leaders had heard presentations from the election committee and an international digital auditor on how the party polls were conducted.
