KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 — The World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with World Trade Centre Sarajevo to enhance strategic collaboration in promoting international trade and attracting global investments, with a focus on the Southeast Asia and Balkans regions.
The MOU was signed on April 2 by WTCKL Group managing director and World Trade Centres Association (WTCA) board member Datuk Seri Irmohizam Ibrahim and WTC Sarajevo chief executive officer Edin Sefo.
According to Irmohizam, the partnership is set to create a regional gateway that connects the economic and geographical strengths of both regions, enhancing the business events and tourism ecosystems between Southeast Asia and the Balkans.
“This collaboration opens a new chapter for WTCKL and WTC Sarajevo to drive innovation, economic growth, and human capital development in an increasingly competitive global environment.
“WTCKL and WTC Sarajevo will continue to strive to achieve the goals of this MOU to the best of their ability and strengthen integration between regional trade networks.
“This initiative is the beginning of a strong collaboration that will drive innovation and growth for both parties,” he said in a statement today.
In addition to fostering bilateral trade and investment, the collaboration also includes a knowledge exchange programme aimed at strengthening cultural and educational ties between Malaysia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
