PUTRAJAYA, March 27 — The Education Ministry (MOE) will make a Jalur Gemilang badge part of student uniforms from April 21.
In a statement today, MOE said the phased initiative aims to instill patriotism among students and teachers.
The requirement applies to all government schools, government-aided schools, matriculation colleges, and teacher education institutes nationwide.
“This initiative reflects the role of educational institutions in fostering a sense of national pride and strengthening patriotism among the younger generation,” the statement said.
To facilitate implementation, the ministry will provide two free Jalur Gemilang badges to students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The MOE has issued Guidelines on Wearing the Jalur Gemilang Badge on Student Uniforms alongside Circular No.3/2025, outlining proper badge placement.
