SEPANG, March 21 — State executive councillor for youth, sports and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi said 60,726 entrepreneurs have benefited from Hijrah Selangor Foundation aid worth RM858,068,500 from 2015 to last month.
He added that from the total, 5,957 financing bids involving RM65,147 have been channelled to entrepreneurs in Sepang in the same period.
“Since its establishment in 2015, Hijrah has played a significant role in developing the state’s entrepreneurship system via microcredit financing.
“Praise be to God, until now, Hijrah is still an agency that helps grow businesses and improves entrepreneurs’ standard of living,” he said.

Najwan was met after he launched Hijrah’s 10th anniversary campaign — dubbed “10 Years of Excellence: Empowering Entrepreneurs” — at the Taman Putra Perdana Ramadan bazaar here yesterday.
He said the campaign commemorates a decade of the agency’s achievements as the pioneer in microcredit financing.
“This celebration in Sepang … is the first in a series, and it will continue until it reaches 10 editions in other districts throughout the year,” he said.
Najwan also distributed 500 Platform Selangor RM10 digital coupons to visitors at the market.
