SHAH ALAM, Feb 9 – More than 1,000 Subang Jaya residents participated in the Subang Jaya Car-Free Day (HTKSJ) 2025 programme at Taman Tasik Sri Serdang, Subang Jaya, yesterday.
According to a statement on its Facebook page, the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) said the collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) made this year’s first HTKSJ edition even more vibrant.
“More than 1,000 residents joined HTKSJ 2025 at Taman Tasik Sri Serdang. This edition is extra special with the collaboration between MBSJ and UPM,” the local authority stated.
As part of the partnership, a mural art project was also introduced at Tasik Sri Serdang to enhance the area’s beauty and create a more lively atmosphere.
The event featured various activities, including a breakfast fiesta, free health check-ups, an Eco Free Market, traditional folk games, and the “Know and Eliminate Dengue” Explorace.
There were also exhibitions from multiple agencies and demonstrations, including an RC helicopter demonstration, a march by Unit Detectives (K9), and a small fire suppression demonstration by the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).
MBSJ also congratulated the lucky draw winners and thanked the support from the community.
“Congratulations to all lucky draw winners! Thank you for your continued support, and see you at the next #HTKSJ in May!” it said.
