KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 7 — The number of flood evacuees at temporary relief centres (PPS) in Sabah continued to increase, while Sarawak recorded a decline, as at 8pm today.

The numbers rose to 700 from 190 families, compared with 663 (178 families) earlier in the day.
According to the state Disaster Management Committee secretariat, 275 people (83 families) are sheltering at the Beaufort PPS, 276 people (70 families) at two PPS in Kinabatangan, 137 people (33 families) at two PPS in Keningau, and 13 people (four families) in Tambunan.
Sarawak
The state Disaster Management Committee secretariat reported that the number of evacuees dropped to 4,065 from 4,389 earlier, with 21 PPS still open.
“The number of evacuees in Bintulu division decreased to 1,873 people at five PPS from 1,907 previously, while in Sibu, it reduced to 1,114 people at six PPS from 1,160 in the day.
“As for Miri, the number of victims at seven PPS dropped to 452 from 694, in Mukah division declined to 613 from 615 across four PPS, while Sarikei division remained unchanged, at 13 victims in one PPS,” it said in a statement.
