SHAH ALAM, Dec 27 — The Selangor government will emphasise all aspects, including safety, to boost tourists’ confidence when visiting the state in conjunction with the Visit Selangor Year 2025. 

State executive councillor for local government, tourism, and New Village development Dato’ Ng Suee Lim said key industry players, including hotels and theme parks, are also ready to ensure smooth operations and provide visitors with a meaningful experience. 

"We are fully prepared and are now just waiting to welcome visitors. Industry players, especially in hotels, theme parks and restaurants, will ensure seamless services for tourists.

"All aspects, including infrastructure and safety, are given priority. We want to make it easy for visitors to explore Selangor and ensure they have a great time," he told Media Selangor

Ng added that promotional efforts for VSY 2025 will be ramped up, with additional billboards installed in high-traffic areas.  

"We will continue promoting through social media advertisements, showcasing the many attractions Selangor has to offer," he said.

On Saturday (December 21), Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari launched the VSY 2025 digital campaign portal visitselangor2025.my, along with the official mascot, Spark the Firefly, during the VSY 2025 Festival and Concert at Setia City Park in Setia Alam.  

VSY 2025, featuring over 60 programmes throughout the year, aims to attract eight million domestic and international visitors, with a projected revenue target of RM11.7 billion.
