SHAH ALAM, Dec 25 — The Selangor Agro Fest (SAF) 2025 is scheduled to take place in August 2025, featuring a variety of exciting programmes to further strengthen the agri-food sector.
State executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Dato’ Izham Hashim said the festival, expected to run for four days in Morib, Kuala Langat, will showcase unique attractions with additional elements, including a flora exhibition.
“SAF 2025 is expected to feature captivating segments involving exhibitions and sales activities encompassing the entire ecosystem related to the agri-food value chain.
“This includes exhibitions on livestock, fisheries, agriculture, and agro-based industries by relevant departments, as well as business matching sessions that will stimulate business growth in the agricultural sector,” he told SelangorKini.
Izham added that the announcement of the Selangor Agro Icon 2024/2025 is also expected to take place during SAF 2025, with further details currently being finalised and to be announced later.
Previously, he said the state government intends to organise SAF on a larger scale next year after it was last held in 2019.
SAF serves as a platform for agropreneurs to introduce their products and encourages greater youth participation in the agricultural sector, ultimately creating a new generation of agropreneurs.
SAF has been an annual event since 2012, aimed at empowering and developing the agricultural sector, thereby increasing the income of agropreneurs in Selangor.
