SHAH ALAM, Dec 19 — Gagasan Rumpun Selangor, an initiative aimed at strengthening unity in the state, will continue next year with a refreshed approach, said state executive councillor for unity Datuk Rizam Ismail.
Activities under the grassroots initiative will be aligned with the Visit Selangor Year 2025.
“This time, the implementation will differ slightly, to suit current needs.

“The activities are still being finalised as they involve His Highness, the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah,” he said during a press conference at his office yesterday.
Previously, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced that Gagasan Rumpun Selangor would be introduced to celebrate diversity and foster unity across the state.
As part of this vision, the state will host the Gagasan Rumpun Selangor Carnival and Tour across nine districts, supported by a budget allocation of RM4.5 million.
The programme focuses on six key agendas, including carnivals and explorations, policies, a unity song, and the restructuring and empowerment of village leadership institutions.
