SHAH ALAM, Nov 15 — The Selangor government has announced two months of salary as a special cash incentive for its civil servants.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the Special Financial Assistance (BKK) will be paid in two phases, the first on December 30, and the second payment will be made on March 25, 2025, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri earlier this year.
“We have previously announced the special incentive of one-and-a-half months, in which half-month was disbursed in February and one month before Aidilfitri.
“It’s my pleasure to announce that the BKK for this year will be an additional of two months to all Selangor civil servants,” he said during the tabling of the 2025 Selangor Budget at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly earlier today.
Amirudin said the special incentive is a show of appreciation to the state civil servants for their hard work and commitment, which have contributed to the success the state has achieved in the previous year.
“I would like to proudly acknowledge the achievements of Selangor’s entire civil service. If we look at the figures I mentioned earlier, we have achieved four consecutive years of exceeding our revenue targets.
“I believe this success is due to the sincere dedication, commitment, and focus demonstrated by the entire administration in Selangor, ensuring that this state remains competitive and capable of uplifting the dignity of its people, rising and adapting swiftly to any changes and challenges that may come,” he said.
A total of RM3 billion is allocated for the 2025 Selangor Budget, an increase of 470 million compared to this year’s budget.
Themed ‘A Dynamic Selangor: An Ideal Quest for a Civil Malaysia’, the state budget has five main thrusts, namely Artificial Intelligence and Education as a Catalyst for State Economic Development, Uplifting an Aspiration of a Sustainable Environment and Quality Infrastructure, Promoting a Compassionate State, Championing an Efficient and Responsible System of Government, and Breathing New Life into the Creative Economy and Developing the Next Generation.
