PUTRAJAYA, Oct 8 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged Cabinet members to make thorough preparations for bills and motions to be tabled at the Parliament session starting October 14.
In a press conference today, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the Prime Minister personally emphasised this matter during the Cabinet meeting today, noting that the Supply Bill 2025, for Budget 2025, will be tabled October 18.
“During the Cabinet meeting today, several issues were raised, particularly the preparation of ministers to ensure they are ready to effectively respond to questions.
“This includes being fully prepared to table a number of bills and motions that may be discussed and debated,” he said.
When asked about the preparations for the tabling of Budget 2025, Fahmi said the Cabinet will only receive the details of the budget during a morning meeting on October 18.
“Right now, we only have some preliminary information… No details and no speculation. Let’s wait until October 18,” he added.
