SHAH ALAM, Oct 8 — Several areas in the capital will face water supply disruption until tomorrow afternoon due to a burst pipe in Pasar Seni, Kuala Lumpur.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said emergency repair works began at 6am today, resulting in the unscheduled water cut.

“The repair works are expected to be completed by 1am on October 9. Water supply will be restored in stages once the repairs are completed and the main distribution system is stabilised.

“Full water supply recovery is expected by 1pm tomorrow,” it said in a statement today.

The affected areas include the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Brickfields, KL Central, Parliament, Bukit Tunku, Bukit Bandaraya, Damansara Heights, Kampung Attap, and Taman Duta.

The water supply recovery time in the affected areas will vary depending on the distance of the premises from the water source and the water pressure in the distribution system.

“Air Selangor will deploy water tankers, prioritising critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres, and funeral services throughout this unscheduled water disruption period,” Air Selangor said.

Consumers can obtain updates on the unscheduled water disruption through Air Selangor’s official communication channels such as its mobile app, as well as social media accounts Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
