PUTRAJAYA, Oct 3 — All Malaysians currently residing in or visiting Iraq and Iran are strongly advised to register their presence through E-Konsular in light of the increased tension in the region, the Foreign Ministry urged.
“Those who have not yet done so are strongly encouraged to register immediately.
“Malaysians in the region should be prepared for potential disruptions to flight schedules and are advised to make necessary adjustments to their travel plans,” it said in an advisory today.
Malaysians have also been advised to maintain close communication with the respective embassies for updates and guidance.
“The Malaysian embassies in both countries are actively engaging with registered Malaysians to ensure their safety and provide timely information,” it said.
The ministry will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all Malaysians, it added.
