KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, has extended his congratulations to the entire staff of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in celebration of its 57th anniversary today.
The sovereign conveyed his well wishes in a message posted on the official Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
“His Majesty, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim, offers his congratulations to all members of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in celebration of the Commission’s 57th anniversary today (October 1),” it said.
The MACC was established to replace the Anti-Corruption Agency, which was founded on October 1, 1967.
Similarly, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also congratulated the MACC on its anniversary.
In a Facebook post, he expressed hope that the commission will continue its unwavering efforts and commitment to eradicating corruption in the country.
