SHAH ALAM, Sept 22 — Petaling Jaya’s National Month 2024 celebration has gone strong since it was launched in early August.
The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) in a statement said 23 events were held throughout the month.
These events include patriotic singing, flying the Jalur Gemilang, meeting with Petaling Jaya residents, and the Walkathon Kita Malaysia.
“MBPJ hopes these events can boost love for the country and raise Malaysians’ awareness in achieving social integration,” he said.
Last night, the closing ceremony for Petaling Jaya’s National Month celebration was held in Taman Jaya, officiated by Petaling Jaya Mayor Mohamad Zahri Samingon.
Held from 8am to 11pm, various events were organised yesterday, including a colouring contest, Jejak Merdeka @ PJ competition, a Merdeka creative fashion show, and a motivation camp with the mayor.
