KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 — The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) has allocated over RM500,000 to help potential entrepreneurs participate in international exposition in the country to expand their businesses.
This includes participation in the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (Mihas) 2024, from September 17 to September 20 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre.
In a statement today, it said 14 entrepreneurs under the guidance of the PKNS Entrepreneur Development Division (BPU) who are taking part in Mihas 2024 at the PKNS pavilion have successfully attracted the attention of many visitors.
Among the featured companies this year are Jaqued Holdings Sdn Bhd, My Innovative Wellness Sdn Bhd, Abin Snack Food Supplier Enterprise, Krukkrapmy International Sdn Bhd, and BS Fitness Nutrition (M) Sdn Bhd.
“All entrepreneurs in the food and beverage (F&B) sector promoted by BPU at Mihas this year are part of the efforts to showcase their products to gauge the potential to expand at the international level, increase exports, and penetrate the global market,” PKNS said.
As almost 80 per cent of PKNS entrepreneurs are in the F&B sector, participation in the exposition is the right step to expand their business network via international collaboration, especially in the halal sector.
Participation in Mihas also allows PKNS entrepreneurs to participate in the International Sourcing Programme, a business matching programme between Malaysian exporters and international buyers.
