KUCHING, Aug 22 — The highly anticipated Malaysian Games (Sukma) women’s football final between Sabah and Selangor, scheduled for tonight at Sarawak Stadium, has been postponed to 4.15pm tomorrow after several hours of heavy downpours earlier today left the pitch waterlogged.
The match, initially set for 8.15pm, faced two delays—first to 8.45pm and then to 9.30pm—before the match commissioner made the call to reschedule.
Heavy favourites Sabah whipped the Federal Territories 6-0 in the semi final while Selangor took down Pahang 3-0.
Pahang secured the bronze medal after a 3-1 win over the Federal Territories yesterday.
