SHAH ALAM, Aug 22 — Selangor ended the 11th day of the 21st Malaysian Games (Sukma) in top three on the medal tally, with 40 gold, 48 silver and 35 bronze, for a total of 123 medals.
At 22.53pm, the boxing team delivered gold through Hazman Iskandar Zulkifli Siew in the men’s lightweight (57kg-60kg) category.
His teammate Balqis Dayana Badrol Hisham took silver in the women’s featherweight (52kg-57kg) category.
At 7.51pm, Cadence Teh Zi Qi snatched the all-around individual gold at the Sukma today with 49.600 points.
The 15-year-old artistic gymnast scored 12.250 points for floor exercise, 11.950 points for vault, 11.950 points for uneven bars and 13.450 points for balance beam.
At the team event, Selangor, comprising Airisha Zuraidi, Atiqah Rudy, Cadence, Haifa Izzazi Mohd Faizul, Nicole Wong Ziyi and Leong Yee Shean, took silver with 173.500 points.

At 7.32pm, the state fencers scored bronze in the men’s team foil event.
At 6.58pm, Henry Goh Li Hen, Aslan Adnan, Loke Yew Jien dan Jayden Goh Li Jie also aced their event — the men’s 4x200m freestyle — and earned gold with their 7:37.51s finish.
They also broke the 7:40.17s record set at Sukma 2018.
Meanwhile, Khew Zi Xian, Shannon Tan Yan Qing, Yoong Jia Jia dan Lim Shu Qi aced the women’s 4x200m freestyle and earned another gold for Selangor. They clocked 8:45.45s to beat hosts Sarawak.
At 6.31pm, after getting gold in the 3,000m steeplechase and 5,000m race yesterday, state long-distance runner Esther Joy Hong Li Chen continued her winning streak in today’s 10,000m race at Sarawak Stadium, Kuching.
The 21-year-old crossed the finish line after 40 minutes and 37.98 seconds.
At 6.19pm, Andrew Goh Zheng Yen once again broke a record and took gold in the men’s 200m breaststroke.
He obliterated the previous mark of 2:17.47s logged by Selangor’s Ng Jing Fu in Sukma 2018, replacing it with his 2:16.40s finish.
At 6.09pm, Khoo Sue Enn contributed gold to Selangor in the women’s 200m breaststroke, finishing in 2:37.93s. Her teammate Low Ee Mang took bronze with a time of 2:40.10s.
At 5.52pm, silambam exponent Ishwaria Devi scored bronze in the women’s poruthal event in the 50kg-60kg category.
In the mixed team event, Selangor took bronze in the bare hands category.

The latest result from the Pandelela Rinong Aquatics Centre, at 5.38pm, saw Jayden Goh Li Jie take silver in the men's 100m butterfly with a time of 55.68s.
At 5.30pm, Lim Shun Qi delivered gold in the women’s 100m butterfly, clocking 1:01.84s. Teammate Morgan Eleven Teo Kai Cheng took silver in the same event with a time of 1:04.07s.
Swimmer Henry Goh Li Hen took silver in the men’s 400m freestyle at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatics Centre in Kuching at 5.19pm.
At 5.09pm, Selangor swimmer Khew Zi Xian contributed a silver in the women’s 400m freestyle, with a time of 4:34.26s.
At 4.49pm, judo exponent Nur Sufia Arisha Mohamed Rasidi won bronze with Johor’s Nurhumayraa Iddie Rafizal in the women’s below-44kg category.
Teammate Yap Hong Toh also earned bronze with Johor’s Amir Luqman Azhar in the men’s above-90kg category.
At 4.22pm, the women's rugby team earned gold, beating out hosts Sarawak.
At 10.30am, P. Luthrabalan won gold in silambam's men's poruthal category (under 55kg). His teammate M. Mahendran also won gold in the men's poruthal category (65kg-75kg) at the same venue.
In tennis, Sharifah Elsa Wan Abdul Rahman defeated Perak's Shihomi Li Xuan Leong in the women's individual event.
The 21-year-old won 6-1, 6-1 in the final at 9.30am, at the Sarawak Lawn Tennis Association, Kuching.

Yesterday's highlights included weightlifter Noor Hirzie Fariez Mustafa delivering gold in the men’s under-73kg category at Dewan Sukan Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan in Betong.
Swimmer Andrew Goh took gold and broke the national record in the men’s 50m breaststroke, clocking 27.40s against the 28.03s mark he set in Heat 3 just that morning
The women’s 4x100m freestyle team, comprising Morgan Eleven Teo Kai Cheng, Yoong Jia Jia, Lim Shun Qi, and Khew Zi Xian, scored gold with a time of 3:55.84s at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatics Centre in Kuching, breaking the Sukma record previously set by Sabah in 2008.
After a slow start in Sukma, Selangor is gaining ground, just as state executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi predicted.
With two days left until the end of Sukma 2024, Selangor has garnered medals in a number of events, including archery, bowling, decathlon, fencing, golf, karate, lawn bowls, pencak silat, petanque, silambam, sprinting, swimming, tenpin bowling, weightlifting, and wushu.
