KUCHING, Aug 15 — The Federal Territories, the last edition’s runner-up bounced back to register their first win in the men’s T20 cricket by defeating Melaka in their second league fixture of the Malaysia Games (Sukma) 2024 today.
In the action at the Petra Jaya Cricket and Rugby Ground, the Federal Territories, which unexpectedly lost to Kelantan in their first league match on Tuesday, won by 121 runs.
Meanwhile, Selangor continued their superb form to register their second consecutive victory, beating Kedah by eight wickets.
The other match that was scheduled today between Kelantan and Sarawak had to be called off due to weather conditions.
The Cricket competition in Sukma which opened its doors on Tuesday (August 20) will continue until next Saturday (August 24) and offer two gold medals, one each in the men’s and women’s competitions.
