JOHOR BAHRU, July 9 — Police have not obtained new developments on the acid attack on national footballer and Selangor FC player Faisal Halim.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said they will not stop investigating.
“There are no new developments … but no update doesn’t mean we stop investigating.
“With the commitment shown by my officers on other cases, we have never stopped (investigating), only the developments are not what the public hope for, so for the time being, we will rely on intelligence (gathering),” he said during a joint media conference between the Royal Malaysian Police and Singapore Police Force at the Sultan Iskandar Building here today.
Faisal, 26, was splashed with acid at a shopping mall in Kota Damansara on May 5, which left him with fourth-degree burns on several parts of his body.
