Traffic slow on several major highways ahead of Aidiladha

KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — Traffic on several major highways was slow at 8.30pm due to the increase in vehicles ahead of Aidiladha on June 17.

A Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman said the increased number of vehicles on the North-South Expressway and the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway has caused congestion in several areas.

He said traffic was slow towards the East Coast, from the Gombak Toll Plaza to Genting Sempah, and Bukit Tinggi to Bentong.

“Traffic is also slow from Bandar Ainsdale to Pedas Linggi, the Pedas Linggi lay-by to Simpang Ampat, and Sedenak to Simpang Renggam.

“Vehicles are moving slowly from Tapah to Gopeng, Alor Pongsu-Jawi, Juru-Perai and Seberang Jaya-Sungai Dua Toll Plaza,” he said when contacted by Bernama.

He added that traffic was smooth in both directions of the East Coast Expressways 1 and 2.

Traffic updates are available at the toll-free PLUSLine 1800-88-0000 and X profile @‌plustrafik, or the LLM line at 1800-88-7752 and X profile @‌llmtrafik.
