SHAH ALAM, June 6 — The water supply recovery for areas in the Klang Valley affected by the recent scheduled disruption is now at 76.1 per cent, as of 9pm.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said of the three groups of areas affected, Group One fully recovered by 12pm.

"For Group Two, the water supply full recovery time is expected to be at 3am on Friday, June 7, while for Group Three, the full recovery time is expected to be at 12pm on Friday, June 7," it said in a statement tonight.

The duration of this water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.

"Consumers can obtain information on this scheduled water supply disruption from time to time through our official communication channels.

"Consumers can also obtain information from alternative official communication channels such as the Air Selangor app, Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), call Air Selangor’s Call Centre at 15300, or visit https://www.airselangor.com/," Air Selangor said.

On May 13, the company informed the public of a June 5 to June 7 water cut for maintenance at the Sungai Selangor Phase One Water Treatment Plant, affecting areas in Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, and Kuala Selangor.

To mitigate the impact, Air Selangor said it would deploy tankers to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral centres.

It also provided alternative water supply to 13 local service centres.
