SHAH ALAM, June 6 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) will close several roads for its Car-Free Day at Dataran Kemerdekaan here on Sunday.
Persiaran Bandaraya at Dataran Kemerdekaan, Persiaran Perbandaran, Persiaran Tasik, Persiaran Masjid, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri and Persiaran Damai will be closed from 6.30am to 9.30am on the day.
MBSA corporate and public communications director Mohd Azhar Sharif urged the public not to use vehicles on those roads to avoid traffic congestion.
“MBSA requests that road users cooperate and use alternative routes to get to their destinations,” he said in a statement yesterday.
The event is held to encourage Shah Alam residents to lead a healthy lifestyle, with various activities including aerobics and food sales.
