JOHOR BAHRU, May 18 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail paid a visit to Corporal Mohd Hasif Roslan, who is being treated at the Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI) after being injured in the attack at the Ulu Tiram police station yesterday morning.
He arrived at HSI at 9.20am today and spent 10 minutes with the policeman and his family members.
Saifuddin was accompanied by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain and Johor police chief CP M. Kumar.
The minister then visited the Ulu Tiram police station, some 12km from the hospital.
In the 2.45am attack yesterday, three were killed, namely policemen Constable Ahmad Azza Fahmi Azhar, 22, Constable Muhamad Syafiq Ahmad Said, 24, and the 21-year-old perpetrator.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, Saifuddin said that Hasif, who was injured after being shot during the attack, is now in a stable condition.
“As soon as I arrived in Johor, I rushed to (the) Sultan Ismail Hospital to visit Corporal Mohd Hasif, who was injured as a result of being shot in an attack at the Ulu Tiram police station yesterday.
“Alhamdulillah, Corporal Hasif's condition is stable. I had time to give words of encouragement and deliver a small donation to him and his wife. May Corporal Mohd Hasif continue to be strong and able to resume his duties,” he said.
Saifuddin also called on everyone to pray for the policeman’s speedy recovery.
