KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 — The heavy rain this afternoon saw another large tree topple in central Kuala Lumpur, reported Malay Mail.
This tree fell along Jalan Pinang near Menara Prestige in the Kuala Lumpur Golden Triangle business district.
This came a week after a man was killed and two others injured by a fallen tree along Jalan Sultan Ismail, within walking distance from today’s incident.
Photos circulating on social media with the Kuala Lumpur Command and Control Centre watermark showed the fallen tree blocking all lanes of Jalan Pinang, causing standstill traffic.
An X user (@syafeeqKL) said several parked vehicles were crushed by the tree.
At the time of writing, there have been no reported deaths or injuries.

On May 7, a 47-year-old man died when a huge tree came crashing down on 17 vehicles during a thunderstorm.
A 26-year-old Malaysian man and 72-year-old non-citizen were also injured in the incident along Jalan Sultan Ismail, near Concorde Hotel.
In the May 7 incident, a bus stop was damaged, while the monorail service that runs above the busy road was temporarily halted due to damage to the track from debris and branches.
