Keadilan launches KEMAS16 framework in preparation for GE16

SHAH ALAM, April 21 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat deputy president Rafizi Ramli launched the Keadilan Menang Siri PRU-16 (KEMAS16) framework today to prepare for the 16th General Election (GE16).

He said it will strengthen the party's grassroots via organised and periodic programmes according to the social enterprise template in preparation for the general election.

"The entire leadership from each level will be periodically deployed to the states, followed by divisions, indicating our readiness to face GE16. Starting today, preparations begin two years early to ensure that (Datuk Seri) Anwar (Ibrahim) remains Prime Minister after the next general election.

"Through KEMAS16, we aim for the Bi-Weekly Grassroots Programme to reach at least four programmes a month by the end of 2024 and increase periodically in 2025 towards GE16," he said.

Rafizi was speaking during the launch of KEMAS16 and the Pemerkasaan Organisasi Parti 25 tahun (POP25) programme at the Keadilan's 25th anniversary celebrations at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) today.

Commenting further, he said the party aims to reach out to 80 per cent of fence-sitters through the 'phone bank' by the end of 2025 and produce 2,000 trained and certified members of the grassroots communication machinery by next year, in addition to trained Food Bank Unit staff in 100 selected divisions.

Rafizi also launched another framework under the POP25 programme.

The framework was set up to increase the number of party and division members, trained communication machinery, as well as implement leadership training at the state level.

"It is driven by the Keadilan Central Leadership Council, the State Leadership Council (MPN), divisions and branches, as well as all grassroots members,” he added.

Rafizi is also targeting a 20 per cent increase in party members yearly in the main divisions while an average of 10 per cent at the national level.
