LPPKN’s Juwairiya vows to promote community programmes’ initiatives

By Sheeda Fathil

SHAH ALAM, Jan 20 — The newly appointed National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) deputy chairman Juwairiya Zulkifli has assured that various community programmes will be extensively shared for the benefit of many.

She said the agency is committed to ensuring its initiatives effectively reach the targeted groups.

The former Bukit Melawati state assemblyman also affirmed her commitment to regularly engage with the community, ensuring that both the team and herself actively disseminate implemented initiatives to the public.

"Sometimes there are a few people who are unaware of the sub-fertility clinics under LPPKN, providing affordable assistance to couples trying to conceive compared to the private sector.

"We also have the Nur Sejahtera Clinic family centre and the Mama Care service to cater to postpartum care for women.

“This information is something we aim to spread widely, ensuring more people are aware of these services,” Juwairiya said.

She added that LPPKN will release a report every ten years, with the upcoming presentation in November this year focusing on the growth rate of Malaysians.

The report is crucial as a reference for all, including relevant agencies and ministries, to form policies in the future.

"Every ten years, this agency releases a report focusing on parenting and family; it just so happens that this year, it is time for us to release a new report," Juwairiya said.
