JAKARTA, Aug 4 — The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) will host the fourth annual Asean Online Sale Day (AOSD), the largest online shopping event in Southeast Asia, from August 8 to August 22.
According to the Asean Secretariat (Asec), the two-week event will bring together the best of Asean goods and services from across the region on a single e-commerce platform.
In 2020, over 200 e-commerce businesses in the region took part in AOSD and offered an extensive range of goods and services at promotional or discounted rates through their e-commerce platforms.
Over 300 businesses participated annually as the event grew in 2021 and 2022.
“This year, the organisers expect strong interest among businesses and consumers given the rise in e-commerce adoption in the region spurred by the Covid-19 pandemic,” Asec said in a statement.
Further information is available at www.aseanonlinesaleday.com, asean.org, and other Asean information channels led by the ASEC and representatives of 10 Asean member countries.
