SHAH ALAM, July 4 — Agencies or government bodies can provide free health screenings for their respective employees via Selangor Saring.
State public health advisor Dr Mohammad Farhan Rusli said the programme is now being offered to these respective groups, as well as non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and joint management bodies (JMB).
"As the state elections will soon take place, this time Selangor Saring will not involve state assemblymen. Instead, it is carried out in cooperation with government agencies or specific parties, due to its significant benefits.
"Therefore, any agency interested in the programme is advised to contact its programme manager Selcare, to facilitate employees in early disease detection," he said when contacted.

Dr Mohammad Farhan added that Selangor Saring will be held in the near future, targeting 300 participants at each location, to support the state administration's efforts.
The programme was first introduced last year to help Selangor residents detect diseases early on, particularly for those with a family history of hereditary ailments, obese individuals, or those leading unhealthy lifestyles.
At a cost of RM3.4 million and fully borne by the state government, participants can undergo screenings for urine, eyes, cervical cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and blood tests.
The scheme has been improved this year with additional screening services, including dental and ear examinations, as well as physiotherapy sessions.
