SHAH ALAM, June 29 — Some 100 members and officers from the Selangor police contingent headquarters were updated with the latest information on managing instances of domestic violence, via the Train Of Trainers (TOT) programme yesterday.
Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) announced the programme focused on the Domestic Violence Act, the support and role of other agencies, as well as D11's Management and Investigation of Domestic Violence Cases.
"The purpose of conducting TOT is to train more public servants from the Selangor police contingent headquarters and the wider public in providing assistance and raising awareness on domestic violence issues.
"The programme's other content include a basic self-defence demonstration specifically for women," it said in a Facebook post.
TOT was inaugurated by Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, while the closing ceremony was officiated by the state executive councillor for public health, unity, women, and family Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.
