KUALA SELANGOR, June 28 — Selangor Fruit Valley (SFV) recorded a handsome profit of RM1.2 million last year with a total of 100,000 visitors, according to the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS).

Its chief executive officer Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi said this was largely thanks to PKPS' continuous, large-scale promotion of the venue through various platforms, including social media.

"Since 2020, we have implemented various improvements, including through aggressive promotions, and we finally saw profit," he said during a ceremony to distribute cattles for sacrificial slaughter, here, today.

The distribution, which is meant for 13 Orang Asli villages, is in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration tomorrow, with the ceremony being officiated by state executive councillor Hee Loy Sian.

SFV, which is under the purview of PKPS, is located in Bestari Jaya

The 1,000-hectare vast farm is home to about 20 different fruits, including durian, mango, guava, jackfruit, starfruit, coconut and pineapple.

The agrotourism spot also offers various extreme sports activities like flying fox, camping and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) rides.
