SHAH ALAM, May 19 — More than 10,000 job opportunities will be offered to the public during the Selangor Jelajah Jaminan Kerja (JobCare) roadshow in nine districts, starting in June.

State executive councillor for worker empowerment V. Ganabatirau said the initiative by the Selangor Workers Empowerment Unit (UPPS), in collaboration with the Social Security Organization (Socso), will involve approximately 200 companies from various sectors.

"This carnival will travel to nine districts in the state until December.

"Selangor residents who are seeking employment should make use of this golden opportunity," he said to SelangorKini.

Ganabatirau added that 120 individuals have since successfully secured employment via the Selangor Career Carnival 2023, held on May 6 and May 7.

"A total of 959 applicants are still eligible for the second interview session," he said.

Previously, Ganabatirau said a total of 2,500 individuals have been placed in jobs under the state government's initiative, through the career carnival conducted by UPPS from November 2021 until May 6 this year.
