SHAH ALAM, Jan 11 — The second phase of the Jualan Ehsan Rakyat (JER) roadshow will continue next week with the aim of stablising the essential goods market which is still uncertain.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the sale programme that began on January 15 was the result of the cooperation between the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) and the Koperasi Warga Hijrah Selangor Berhad (Kohijrah).

"We will continue JER until March because I know it takes time to stabilise the prices and supplies.

"The difference this time is that we invited Kohijrah and Fama. We will partner up for every sale," he said when met after delivering his 2023 New Year address at the Dewan Jubli Perak in the State Secretariat Building, here today.

Amirudin said through the collaboration, the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) is able to offer more product options at reasonable prices.

According to him, the agency is also exploring the egg market in Thailand to meet local egg demands.

PKPS sales will continue from January 15 to March with 11 locations every day compared to nine before.

Previously, the sale successfully benefited more than two million Selangor residents through a series of roadshows in 693 locations around the 56 State Legislative Assembly constituencies.
