KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 — The following is a denial of news that has gone viral on social media today, according to a media statement from the Rapid Response Team (PRP) of the Communications and Digital Ministry (KKD).
The Social Welfare Department has denied issuing any news regarding ‘Bantuan Warga Emas RM500 Bagi Tahun 2023’ that has gone viral on social media recently.
Accurate information on any assistance issued by the department is available only through its official website at www.jkm.gov.my.
The public is also advised not to be easily influenced and spread unverified information, and instead to always make an initial check by referring to the official website or social media of the related ministry, department or agency to obtain authentic and up-to-date information.
