JOHOR BAHRU, Nov 24 — The Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, today congratulated Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on his appointment as the 10th Prime Minister.
The congratulatory message was uploaded on the official Facebook account of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim also conveyed his congratulations to the Tambun Member of Parliament via a posting on the HRH Crown Prince of Johor Facebook account.
Earlier, the Pakatan Harapan chairman took his oath of office, loyalty and secrecy before Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Negara at 5.06pm.
Al-Sultan Abdullah consented to the appointment of Anwar, 75, in accordance with Article 40(2)(a) and Article 43(2)(a) of the Federal Constitution.
