SHAH ALAM, Oct 13 — The Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (AGG) World Cup Finals 2022 will be held at Stadium Malawati here from October 26 until 30.
In a statement today, Malaysian Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Association (MAGGA) Deputy President Datuk Radha Krishnan said it is a great honour for Malaysia to host this prestigious event, where previously it was mostly held in Europe.
He said aesthetic gymnastics has been growing very rapidly in the United States, Europe and also some Asian countries and MAGGA, which was formed six years ago, has hosted a few National Championships and sent its athletes overseas in 2018 and 2019 to participate in the World Championship.
Radha Krishnan said 500 participants from 20 countries would participate in the event and Malaysia would send 200 participants for this event.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu is expected to officiate the event.
