SHAH ALAM, Aug 25 — The state-level 65th National Day celebration is scheduled to take place at the Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam here at 8pm on August 30.
The event offers a variety of interesting activities including performances by famous artists Erni Zakri and Black Hanifah, parades and marches, dances from various races, choirs, silent marches, hand-to-hand combat and firework displays.
In addition, a prayer and doa recital session led by Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin will also be held earlier at the same location at 4.45pm.
The state-level National Month campaign was launched by Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari on July 31.
This year, Selangor chose the theme #KitaSelangorTeguhBersama which depicts the spirit of togetherness and courage of the people from all levels in facing the challenges in the state.
The theme in conjunction with the state-level National Day celebration is a reflection of the unity shown by the people in Selangor who continue to help each other rise up.
