SHAH ALAM, Aug 25 — Inclement weather is inbound for eight Selangor districts until 2pm, said the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a statement issued at 11.50am, the agency said the districts include Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang.
“Other states and areas which will be affected include Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Negeri Sembilan (Seremban and Port Dickson),” it said on Facebook today.
MetMalaysia issues warnings whenever signs indicate a thunderstorm with a rain intensity exceeding 20 mm that is close to or is expected to occur for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release.
