SHAH ALAM, Aug 5 — The Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) has offered to buy used cooking oil at RM3 per kilogramme or according to the market price.
The local council said the public can bring the used cooking oil to their collection centre at Pusat Inovasi @ Sepang which is open from Monday to Friday between 9am to 4.30pm.
"Don't throw away your used cooking oil. Collect it and sell it to us. We will process it to make biodiesel," said MPSepang in a Facebook post on August 3.
The local council said the used cooking oil needs to be filtered and stored in a suitable container before being taken to their collection centre.
