SHAH ALAM, July 21 — The second edition of the Selangor Mega Job Carnival 2022 will be held again on September, with as many employment opportunities on offer as possible.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said over 200 companies will participate in the programme, offering jobs in the hospitality, sports and services industries.
"This initiative is among the efforts to provide jobs to the Selangor's citizens, as well as reduce the unemployment rate," he said in a Facebook post today.
Amirudin said a total of 1,996 candidates managed to secure employment through the carnival when it was held in June, while another 3,601 were called for a second round of interviews.
The carnival in September will take place at the Malaysian Agricultural Expo Park (Maeps) in Serdang. The public can refer to www.selangorjobportal.com.my for more information.
The Selangor Mega Job Carnival 2022 was held for the first time at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Center from June 11 and June 12, with over 100 companies including State Government agencies participating.
