SHAH ALAM, April 17 — Heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms are anticipated for the district of Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang and Kuala Langat until afternoon today.
Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement released at 10.50am said the inclement weather will last until 2pm.
It said other states and locations which are expected to undergo strong weather include Melaka and Johor (Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat and Pontian).
The agency issues a warning when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour which are expected to occur over the one-hour duration.
Thunderstorm warnings are short-term and are valid within six hours after it was issued.
